Those pies and the little girl are just beautiful. Judy, how do you put the decorations on the pies, raw dough or do you bake it first?

I just got up. Feeling a little better. Had a scrumptious dinner of soda crackers and ginger ale.
Good that you’ve got a lead on a rescue! I hope it works out.
If a pie is covered, such as apple, you just decorate with the raw dough. If the pie is open, like pumpkin, you put the decorative pastries on a piece of parchment paper and bake them separately, then put them on the pie later. Unless....you’re putting a bunch of flowers or leaves just around the edge....you put those on then pour the pumpkin.

Raw dough. Perhaps do a wash with warm water so the gluten in the flour can become sticky.
