UGH!! I have to go get the rest of my blood work done today. This started back about the middle of Sept. When they were going to take 5 viles. She first tried my right arm in the bend of the elbow. Couldn’t get anything so went to the left. She only got about 1/3 of a large vial. This one was to test for Lupus. She said she would send it off anyway to see if it was enough for them to test. After the bruising went down 1st week of Oct. I went back to get the rest done. This time I drank LOTS of water and took an extra 81mg of asperin to make sure the blood would flow. The same lab tech took it again but this time from a vein about 2 inches from the bend in the elbow using a butterfly needle she said.
After some time the report came up on my patient portal (online) and the one test for Lupus came up and showed NEGATIVE. I then waited a couple more weeks to see the results of the last bunch of tests. FINALLY but NO COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT SHOWED just Lipid and CMP. What the heck! I called and asked WHY the doctor hadn’t ordered a CBC? Apparently SHE HAD but when I went back and the Lab tech. Saw the Lupus test was done she said OK we will cancell it off the order. Well APPARENTLY when she did that SHE ALSO CANCELLED THE CBC. Grrrrr!!!!
