I’ve seen northern lights a very few times as a child. I wouldn’t mind being in a place (magically taken there of course) to see vivid ones!

I once saw a spectacular display right at the continental divide, the border between Alberta and British Columbia (the highway passes it).it was very dark and very quiet. Never seen anything like it and I swear they made a kind of hissing noise.

One of the places to go is Iceland on a winter night and watch the colors wave and splash across the night sky.

The best ones are the ones that happen in the summer when you can stand or lay down outside and enjoy them without getting frostbite!

My best aurora viewing experience was August 1968 Northern Wisconsin standing in a grassy field just after sunset. It was white, pulsing and coruscating (a word I will probably never use again!) and covered half the evening sky!
