The reason may be very simple: they are under contract. The Donors and Golden Sacks influencers expect several months of Trump harrassment for their money.

The whole notion that a male politician needs to be at or above six feet tall is silly. Shame on DeSantis for feeding into that and making other shorter men feel bad about themselves.

DeSantis should never have worn the ridiculous looking cowboy boots with the high heels concealed inside. It makes him seem insecure and insincere.

Unfortunately DeSantis brought this distraction upon himself. He should not have tried to artificially make himself taller. Had he done that, all of this would be a non-issue because most people couldn't care less how tall he actually is.
