I watched Mars videos over the Weekend. They are just fantastic.

The helicopter is being used to scout terrain to select a route through an area including deep sand. The rover apparently has a problem with th deep sand. It needed to go through an area with the bad sand and the4 copter showed the way. Now that is truly fantastic.

The rover wanted to go to some specific outcroppings to make a core sample. Amazingly believe it, the core samples are stored on board the rover FOR LATER TRANSPORT TO LABS BACK ON EARTH
