Today in Malta international consultations on key principles of peace for Ukraine took place.
The consultations included in-person and online participation of national security advisors and foreign policy advisors from 66 countries and international organizations.
The consultations are a continuation of the recent meetings of Ukraine and other partners in Copenhagen on 24th June 2023 and Jeddah on 5th August 2023.
Ukraine continues to suffer from Russia’s ongoing war of aggression. During this open and constructive meeting, participants discussed the key principles on which a comprehensive, just and lasting peace for Ukraine should be reached and built.
Achieving such a peace for Ukraine would be a significant contribution to strengthening international peace and security. Peace must be based on the principles of the UN Charter, respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly and international law.
After the meeting in Jeddah in August 2023, Ukraine along with ambassadors accredited to Ukraine and invited experts had established working groups on aspects of peace.
At the high-level meeting in Malta the parties explored the following areas for achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace: “Nuclear and radiation safety”, “Food security”, “Energy security”, “Release of all prisoners and deported persons” and “Restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine”.
The initiative to hold the inaugural Global Peace Summit on the level of the heads of state and government was discussed, and the parties intend to take the necessary steps to prepare well before to this event.
The participants expressed deep gratitude to the Republic of Malta for its hospitality and organization of the third round of consultations on the key principles of peace.
National security advisors and foreign policy advisors will continue to work closely together to ensure the broadest possible international support for a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace for Ukraine and the world.

Projecting ‘love for Putin’ before the elections is part of the ideological campaign of the Kremlin authorities. The only ‘savior’ of the country ‘surrounded by enemies’ is the current Kremlin dictator in the words of propaganda mouths.
This is done specifically to blindfold the population before elections about rising casualties on the front and grueling inflation rates.
Ukraine’s only goal in Bahkmut was to deplete Russia’s army.
Russia fell right into the trap, it cost them a fortune in destroyed military gear and human losses.
Ukraine played the trick until they deemed it sufficient.
At that point Russia, finally, got its pile of rubble with close to zero strategic usefulness.
The perfect example of what we call a Pyrrhic victory for the Russians.

Fighters of the State Border Guard Service unit, which as a part of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, are holding back the attacks of the Russian occupying forces on the Avdiivka front, have destroyed a Russian plane.

DETAILS: As the officer said, a MANPADS crew of the border unit shot down a Russian combat aircraft near Avdiivka. According to preliminary information, it was a SU-25 ground attack aircraft.

However , based on terms outlined in the Ukrainian Constitution, elections for Ukraine’s parliamentary body the Verkhovna Rada and for the presidency cannot be held when martial law is imposed. A longstanding law passed by the Verkhovna Rada makes this explicit:
“Under martial law, the following are prohibited: [...] conducting elections of the President of Ukraine, as well as elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and local self-government bodies [...].”
In June 2023, 77% of Ukrainians supported Zelenskyy’s reelection. Because Zelenskyy did make this announcement, and because the Ukrainian law does indeed prohibit elections during martial law, the claim is true.

DETAILS:
At around 20:20, the Air Force warned of a threat of attack drones in Kherson, Mykolaiv and Dnipro oblasts.
Later, it was reported that attack drones were moving from Kherson Oblast towards Mykolaiv Oblast, and then that attack drones were spotted in the airspace of Mykolaiv Oblast, moving west.
After that, the Air Force warned of another group of attack drones heading from Kherson Oblast towards Mykolaiv Oblast.
The threat of attack drones was also reported in Kirovohrad Oblast.
At 21:52, the Air Force reported that attack drones in Kirovohrad Oblast are moving in the north-west direction. Cherkasy and Vinnytsia oblasts are under threat.
At 22:23, the drone threat was announced in Khmelnytskyi Oblast as drones over Vinnytsia Oblast move further north-west.
At 22:24, the threat was announced in Kyiv Oblast.
Later, the Air Force warned citizens that the first group of drones flying over Cherkasy Oblast was moving north, and the second over Vinnytsia Oblast was moving north-west.
As of 23:06, the drones flying between Cherkasy and Kyiv oblasts were reported to be moving north, while the drones over Vinnytsia Oblast were moving towards Zhytomyr Oblast.
Later, the Air Force reported that the drones were attacking Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
At 23:42, the DRONE THREAT WAS CANCELLED in all oblasts.
The Air Force noted that the official information about the number and type of air targets downed will be published after the data is finalized.

The violence in the mostly Muslim region, which erupted amid the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, prompted Israel to call on Russia to protect its citizens.
The protesters, many of them chanting “Allahu Akbar” (God is greatest), broke through doors and barriers, with some running onto the runway, according to videos posted on social media and Russia’s RT and Izvestia media.
From Haaretz: Russian media reported on Sunday about widespread demonstrations at the airport in Makhachkala, Dagestan, a semi-autonomous Russian territory with a Muslim majority, after a plane from the Russian Red Wings company landed there after taking off from Tel Aviv.
