The only religions that can be based on a rejection of other religions are untrue religions.
When a religion is true, then it is based on and in truth. This is not the same as something based on a reaction to another religion or idea. The postmodernists haven’t comprehended this vital distinction.
All of progressivism (blue-haired ideology) is false because it is founded on a rejection of objective truth. This is seen for example in Epicurus, Rousseau, Hume, Emerson and Marx all the way up to the postmodernists and existentialists of today.
(By the way, where is the knee jerk rejection in our conversation, hmmmmmm?)
When our ways are accepted for their own value without regard the ways or ideas of others, then they cannot be based on a reaction to those other ways or ideas.
It takes focus, more than high IQ, to understand these points (although it all adds up to comprehensive IQ). So put aside your mechanically high IQ and focus. But first, put away the knee jerk rejections.
While the people that build a religion probably (hopefully, outside of folks we know were scam artists) believe the religion they built was true (and maybe it was), there’s still that first step of believing the religion around them WASN’T. There was a religion that was the mainstream, and they rejected it. Whatever religion you’re signed onto believing it is true DID NOT ALWAYS EXIST. And no matter how mainstream it is now, it wasn’t.
They’re not all progressives. Here once again you show that you simply don’t know anything about these people. Some of the most conservative people I know are in the anime culture.
The knee jerk rejection in our conservatism is almost every article on FR. Anybody complaining about woke is rejecting the mainstream. Anybody complaining about the media’s portrayal of current events is rejecting the mainstream.
By having your own ways they ARE a reaction to those other ways and idea. Again look at America:
Step 1 of making America - reject European ideas, mostly of religion
Step 2 - reject hereditary power
Step 3 - reject east coast society and go west
You’re the only one here knee jerk rejecting. You knee jerk reject all people that are different, and say wildly foolish things about them that show you not only know nothing about them, you don’t really know anything about yourself.
Study the history of your culture. Use that high IQ you claim to have and LEARN. See where it started, when it started, and what was happening before. Put away your knee jerk rejection and LEARN.
