I answered your post by pointing out how corrupt Russia is and if you want to use that standard against Ukraine then it must be said there is corruption in the US too. Fact is Russia has invaded Ukraine. It's up to Ukraine to fix corruption not Putin.

If Ukraine collapsed, as you seem to hope, the likely result would be for the western portions to become a de facto NATO protectorate as Ukraine rebuilds their forces. Of course, with military, technological, and economic resources that are vastly larger than those of Russia, the US and NATO can afford to sustain both Ukraine and Israel. The more likely intermediate outcome is a hot stalemate of sorts between Russia and Ukraine along current lines.

In the meanwhile, Russia's economy is breaking down due to sanctions and the cost of its invasion of Ukraine. This would lead to the outcome anticipated by at least some US and NATO strategists of a war lasting three to four years before Russia's economy and military became unable to sustain its war effort and Russia has to sue for peace -- probably after Putin dies or is overthrown.
