Lol! Saw that the other day!lol..
The Thing
The Amityville Horror
The Shining
The Omen
Recent:
The Conjuring
Insidious
IT???
I found it boring and dull.
“The January 6th Commission”
That’s called “Winning!”…
when they shot Bill Murry in Zombieland
Well...they are Gaytors...
Jaws
The Exorcist
Alien
Honorable Mention: Island of Terror - Okay, I was about 9 when I saw this, but it scared the hell out of me and kept me from walking under trees at night for years.
The creatures look sort of like turtles with tentacles and if a tentacle latches onto to you it liquifies and sucks the bones out of your body in a most painful and horrible way. It starred Peter Cushing and a cast of I-don’t-know-any-of-these-actors. Here is a link to a photo of the monster that scared a 9 year old. This thing dropped out of a tree onto an unsuspecting pedestrian...

Well said. I doubt there’s ever been a better movie pic that the cover of Jaws with the huge shark looking up at the clueless swimmer ambling along above.
The Exorcist
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
The Rite
The most frightening as all three were based on true stories.
Not quite horror but the house scene in The Road had major suspense and just enough disturbing imagery to prompt your mind to fill in the blanks.
Any of the Christopher Lee Dracula movies
The 1922 Nosferatu
The Omen
Nightmare on Elm Street
The Obama-Biden presidencies!!!
I saw it in the theater as a young girl against my mom’s wishes and it stayed with me for many years.
The book was outstanding. Peter Benchley could outwrite Stephen King any day of the week.
My favorite scene in High Anxiety is when Harvey Korman is scaring the mental patient who sees werewolves and gets sharp pains in his neck. Still laugh whenever I see that.
The one written and directed by Frank LaLoggia.
No “Day of the Triffids”? What a lame list.

This.
Jerry
Phantasm is my number one.
The flying golf ball with a drill bit was the scariest thing I ever saw.
