Oct. 24 (UPI) -- A truck hit a concrete pillar on a Texas highway Tuesday, causing hundreds of watermelons to spill into the roadway.
VIDEO AT LINK..................
The 18-wheeler crashed into the pillar about 3:51 a.m. Tuesday in the northbound lanes of Interstate 69, near University Boulevard, in Sugar Land.
The crash caused the truck's trailer to break open and flood the roadway with smashed watermelons.
No injuries were reported.
Multiple lanes were closed for about six hours while crews worked to clean up the melons and spilled fuel.
Worse yet, I’m dressing up as Colonel Sanders for Halloween. I will not travel into POC areas.
Lolololol
Not Smashing Pumpkins, but A for effort.
Gallagher! my first thought too. “the ghost of Gallagher rides again” would be a fitting video tribute for the master of the watermelon with this scene as the final credit. remembering those days fondly. still have seeds to prove I was there!
Amazing ... how does one collide with the only roadside edifice for miles whilst on a super-slab?
Anyway, just herd some deer over to the site. They’ll clean it up in no time. I had a friend who placed a just purchased watermelon on her front porch while she put her other groceries away. It took her 10 minutes tops. When she went to retrieve the melon it was gone ... just a few seeds marked the place.
Smashed Watermelons would make a great name for a head banger band.
Smashing Pumpkins is already taken.............
smashed watermelons.
It was a roadside wedding melee. The inebriated guests forced the truck to rind to a halt when the couple learned that they cantaloupe.
Oh, heck yeah!
Time for the watermelon crawl!
