“NBC” knitting-circle chatter goes into high gear every four years.

In the real world, however, no court ever throws a U.S.-born POTUS candidate off the ballot. This cycle will be no different.

We have had two former Presidents (Chester Arthur and Barack Obama) and a current Vice President (Kamala Harris) who had one or both parents not U.S. citizens at the time of their birth. The Framers of the Constitution wanted a President with no ties to a foreign country. But like so much of the Constitution, e.g., gun control, Federal intervention beyond the Tenth Amendment limits, the natural born citizen requirement is ignored.

Vivek Ramaswamy may get a Cabinet position if Trump wins, as he has been the most MAGA like candidate. I don't know if we can trust him given his pharma background, but four years ago, I wrote Elon Musk off as just another leftist oligarch.

Yup. The courts are incompetent. Not just on this, but on many other issues as well.

They are simply a repository of petty tyrants who do not really care about law or justice.
