Russia occupies a town. Ukraine launches “counteroffensive”, Russians withdraw, shells the hell out of Ukrainians with dialed in artillery. Rinse, repeat.

“It’s easier to fight wars of national survivor than it is to wage colonial wars of aggression. Ukraine is a colonial war. It isn’t going well and won’t end well for Russia.”

That’s right, and it won’t end well for Ukraine either. They’re locked in an attritional battle with a larger power. Time for peace negotiations.

1. “And I would emphasize more when advising men not to fear war, because fear is normal, but to focus on your faith.

We now live in a time where our faith is being tested.
We didn’t choose war but we are to remain Christians in war who are supposed to protect the vulnerable and be faithful and follow God where He calls.

There was a time when we sang it easily in Sunday service, now it’s time to follow Him, trust Him and actually put everything including our families and our lives in His hands and go where we need to be in the war...

2. It’s hard to die for what you believe in, for your beliefs and for your principles, but it’s much harder to die for a year and a half...

When the war started, you left [home] because you thought, who if not me?

Left because I wanted someone to leave the same way if your family was in occupation.
Left because you love our country, culture, nature, people. Left because someone had to. Someone had to protect the defenseless, stop the spread of evil.

I left because it was the test of what you believe and do you believe at all?
Because husband father son brother gone.

You left all because everything you love is threatened to be destroyed.
You left because it’s your faith in practice, not words
- to love and be ready to give everything and your soul for those you love..”

“the Ukrainians are more adaptable to circumstances, and are going to take advantage of technology to counter the supposed russian manpower advantages in order to prevail over the invaders.”

Hasn’t worked so far. It didn’t work for Germany on the Ostfront.

Yes Russia is suffering higher losses, no it won’t finish them.

You place too much faith in Davidov, he is the equivalent of say Alex Mercouris whose every word is pro-Russian, which is why I don’t watch him (much) anymore. IMO

The reason why Russia is now losing more is because they are on the OFFENSIVE and are exposing their forces in no man’s land even Ukr controlled areas.

From what I can tell both sides are doing just fine bleeding each other white.. Which I’m sure secretly pleases China and openly please the deep state alliance of neo-cons and Dem leftists.

--- "Ukraine’s counter offensive failed and BOOM! OUT COMES THE NEXT ROUND OF PROPAGANDA! WINNING! Ukraine is WINNING they scream! But the Ukraine is still losing, and bleeding. Now the lies about a supposed Ukrainian ‘victory’ are piled miles high, blocking out the sun. NATO will keep heaving the bodies of Ukrainians into the fire until they can’t catch enough to keep the fire going."

Ukraine is grabbing elderly men, the disabled and anyone who can stand for a while, putting a uniform on them, and throwing them to the front to die. Not that many men left.

“If Ukraine is winning all battles against Russia, why isn’t War over”

The Allies consistently began to defeat the Axis by late 1942. The war didn’t end until over 2 years later.

And the poorly cared for Russian troops will be spending a frigid winter in fox holes facing increasingly sophisticated artillery shelling. Meanwhile, Ukraine will be targeting the main supply routes and warehouse concentrations of Russian food, fuel, and armaments needed by those miserable Russian soldiers. The news to home will continue to agitate their loved ones to becoe more and more disillusioned with their Dear Leader, Putin. The Oligarchs will continue to become more unhappy as their prosperity and opportunities shrink and who knows when something will finally pop.

Since many Ukraine supporters have been glued to Ukraine and Russia news, I thought I would report related news seen/heard elsewhere.

1. North Korean weapons reported to be used against Israel. Were these shipped directly into Gaza, or did these come down from the large trainload(s) shipped to Russia from North Korea recently?

2. Biden and State Dept. speak of introducing to Congress request for $100 billion for Israel, Ukraine, and possibly Taiwan and related purposes, to cover period up to 2024 election in Nov.

3. Impossible to complete action on (2.) until House has a Majority Leader. Jim Jordan said he would fight to the bitter end. He gained 3 or 4 votes on the most recent floor vote, of over 200. However, when a secret ballot was taken after that, under 100 voted for him, and his attempt is now over. All major contenders now canceled, so move now to the relatively unknown??? Any FReeper suggestions on next possibilities?

4. In addition to recent return of Hamas hostages to US, 2 were returned to Tailand. Reported Tailand has 30,000 working in Israel, 30 killed by Hamas, and 19 still hostages. I wonder what other countries had significant numbers in Israel. It turns out the most recent Americans returned had only US citizenship, other US hostages actually have dual citizenship, as do other nationalities being held by Hamas.

5. Heard report that Biden actually got more “likes’ on Trumps personal new non-X site than he himself. Is that true?

RevMom, keep up the good reporting. I am especially enjoying the listing of time needed to view a complete VIDEO. I can look at all the short ones while going through the whole thread, and then go back to the long ones for more reflective watching, late at night when others are asleep and don’t need my attention.

HAMAS UNDERSEA NAVAL COMMANDOS:

The IDF identified a Hamas naval base in 2016, before announcing the sea tunnel [discovered in 2018] . . . A senior Israeli Navy officer said. "We consider it a 'blue tunnel'—from land to sea.

[August 1, 2021], after the 2021 Gaza conflict, evidence suggests that Hamas imported weapons through an underwater tunnel on the Mediterranean coast.

I hope that Ukraine is doing a good job of having interesting and dramatic videos/TV films prepared about its own history.

I was quite impressed when I read 2 of the 4 books from Sholokhov’s grand book. Nobel Laureate Mikhail Sholokhov’s masterpiece “And Quiet Flows the Don” follows the life and fate of the Cossacks living in the Don River valley during the early 20th century, through the Great War and Russian Revolution. The Bolshevik’s attempt to turn an agricultural way of life into a factory run system was a complete failure I was impressed by the way in which the semi democratically chosen Hetman attempted to fairly allocate land to the most efficient farmers, and distribute various quality land so many would have a fair shot at good results.

The earlier Cossac history is also very interesting, as well as the struggles of Ukrinian peoples to keep out from under the control of Russia. I hope that if Ukraine media is not already doing so, they will expand programs that do a good job of illustrating their history so that even those people living in the occupied zones can catch it on TV.

“seen the videos of mine laying land drones based on consumer tech that are devastating russian tanks?

this is just the beginning.”

And they are getting nowhere with it. The Ukraine just doesn’t have the strength to defeat Russia.

The Russian theft of Ukrainian children is one terrible aspect of this war. One wonders how many children were taken away after their parents were murdered/killed, in the small towns east of Kiev, where so many early attrocities were discovered or in large town like Mariupol that were heavily bombarded before capture. Now it appears people in the occupied zones are to be deprived of their children too, or have them brainwashed no matter how the parents feel. I have recently heard 3 other disturbing reports on this issue.

1. Regarding Ukraine. It was reported efforts are currently being made to get back 20,000 identified children. The person interviewed said there are likely from 100,000 to 150,000 Ukraine children in Russian hands who are unnamed to Ukraine authorities.

2. In Argentina. The Grandmothers organization in Argentina is still trying to find missing grandchildren, perhaps as many as 20,000. Women who were taken by the Fascist police when pregnant were often allowed to give birth, but killed afterwards. So many babies were given to regime supporters but no one has given the Grandmothers any/adequate records.

3. At the US Border. Many parents were separated from their children as a result of border crossing, under the previous administration. The current administration has succeeded in reuniting quite a number of families. However, babies and young children are unable to assist in searches for parents, and poor records were kept of whereabouts of children and their parents/guardians. Around 1,000 children have still not been reuinited with their parents, given the lack of adequate search information.
