I noticed a sign saying all weapons must be checked in at customer service. I asked if that included conceal carry and was told yes.

You got an ignorant employee.

My Bass Pro has the same sign, and I asked the same question, and was told it was for returning firearms or bringing them in for service.

It wasn't intended for concealed carry.

I happen to remember after I posted that I had the same thing happen at that store about a year ago but was just looking to shop so just left when they told me that sign included conceal carry. I just left then also.
