Interesting. I consume no wheat at all due to gluten intolerance. I can't imagine consuming a 1 lb loaf of bread each day. I eat 1250 calories 5 days a week, 600 calories 2 days a week. Some days during the week I include a half cup of cooked white rice in the calorie count. It's currently 1:45 PM. I've been working since 8 AM on a 160 calorie Premier Protein chocolate shake and a cup of coffee.

If I eat less than 2500 calories a day, I lose weight.

People who work physically hard, consume thousands of calories a day, especially in cold climates.

Working hard outside in weather lower than 57 degrees F, an average man needs to consume 4,500 calories a day.

According to a quick look online, a 1 lb loaf of bread is about 1200 calories.

Wow, that’s an amazing caloric intake. There have been some good articles by Conservative Mind on reduced caloric intake (with essential nutrients) on longevity, dementia, etc. Nothing but benefits. I’m impressed.
