Interested in knowing which Army air bases in Germany fly AH-64 Apache. SIL is transferring there.
You can do a search at army.mil that will tell you about one recent deployment. Normally queasy about saying anything specific about service locations but the one store I’m referring to was for the public. God bless and keep them.
According to AI:
There are two Army air bases in Germany that fly AH-64 Apache helicopters:
Wiesbaden Army Airfield in Wiesbaden, Germany
Ansbach Army Airfield in Ansbach, Germany
Both air bases are home to units of the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, which is the Army’s only aviation brigade in Europe. The 12th CAB is responsible for providing aviation support to all U.S. Army units in Europe and Africa.
The AH-64 Apache is a twin-engine attack helicopter that is known for its firepower, maneuverability, and survivability. It is armed with a variety of weapons, including a 30mm chain gun, Hellfire missiles, and Hydra rockets. The Apache is used to support ground troops in a variety of missions, including close air support, deep attack, and reconnaissance.
The U.S. Army has been flying AH-64 Apaches in Germany since the early 1990s. The Apaches have played a vital role in supporting U.S. and NATO forces in Europe and Africa.
It is Germany, there isn’t much to worry about there.
This could be related to your SIL.

I would be more worried if it were the UK with the driving on the wrong side thing.
Or grabbing his jug of ice wine, jumping in his Porsche pickup truck with the mud flaps, and going out for a night of cow tipping.
Ansbach is actually Katterbach - a little north. I was there 86-89.
I showed up with the Apaches in 89. They kept us up at Illesheim for a while. Slowly moved us to Katterbach. Excellent place to be stationed.
Thanks for the reply
Thanks for the information, I will take a look.
