There is a new form of sedation called ‘’twilight sedation’’ where you're sedated so as not to feeling anything but you're conscious. That's how my pacemaker was put in and later the stent I had implanted last year.

Had that when they Tried getting liver biopsies- I could cefinatdly fealt it, with a bitmof pain, but certainly nowhere near like it would have felt with out sedation. The doc doing the biopsies missed the liver- never did bet another one done. My gastro who ordered the test couldn’t understand how the doc failed to get samples- said he was really good at it-
