It is clear that hamas has spies within Israel, and that the IDF has some serious shortcomings. Coupled with reports that most IDF soldiers have never even fired their weapon in the field, hamas - probably with direct iranian assistance - has laid bare Israeli vulnerabilities. If I was Israeli, I'd be mad as hell.
As stated prior, the effects upon the Israeli government haven't yet been seen.
I think people are underestimated the top of the class computer hackers that work for Russia and China and Iran. I think the West, and Israel, are getting a hard less at just how vulnerable their systems actually are to pentation by the enemy

Just that NO soldier pulling duty should EVER be unarmed. With at least multiple weapons.
And where were the perimeter alarms? Cameras? Other sensors...

Will Israel learn anything from this? Will the United States?
Or in a few weeks will everyone just drift back into the old “guns are bad” routine, and stay there until the next massacre?
A Hamas planning document — found by Israeli emergency responders in one village — showed that the attackers were organized into well-defined units with clear goals and battle plans.
It is interesting the protests didn’t all happen has planned. Or did they and we are not hearing the full story?
