I noticed that the question was never answered. Were they here illegally or not? The fact that it wasn’t noted probably indicates that they were indeed illegal!

Puerto Ricans have dual citizenship and vote in presidential elections, just like people from Guam and several other island territories. The Philippines used to be one but chose to be independent.

Puerto Rico is a US territory and these fellows, assuming (big assumption) the reporting is correct, are US citizens. Besides that, to walk on to someone else’s property and berate people doing a job is IMHO over the line. A karen is a karen no matter their presumed party affiliation.
