Rest in peace.
I was just watching an episode of LIS a few days ago
Oh, I remember him. He was the younger of the two men in charge on their space mission. He always did seem to have a good sense of humor, and never took himself or the series too seriously. He told Dr. Smith off a few times, when Smith became to pushy.
Loved Lost in Space as a kid. Rest in peace.
They could have spared themselves a lot of headaches by jettisoning Dr. Smith out the garbage chute in the second episode.
RIP. I remember Guy Williams died a long time ago of a brain aneurysm ago when Reagan was still in office.
He was all up close to the Robinson’s older daughter.
"WHOOAA!!!Oh the pain! the pain!"
Little know fact: Goddard dated Goldie Hawn for 2 years or so in the late 60s, before she because a big star.
I seriously doubt if there ever was an actor who didn’t want to be in a Western. One of the best was when Little Joe from the Ponderosa was shanghaied by the Chinese, lol. I think everyone of them had been shot several times in the past.
Now we need the Robot saying: 'Danger, Americans! Marxism running Wild!! Danger!!!'
Harris and Don Adams were both on the short lived Bill Dana Show while he did his Jose Jimenez schtick. The show got cancelled and one of them immediately took on Dr. Smith and the other became Maxwell Smart.
Sorry to see him go. I hope that he rests in peace, and condolences to his family and friends.
He went back to college years after the show and became a school teacher in Massachusetts. Howie Carr used to have him on a lot.
I didn’t realize that his second wife was Susan Anspach, a 70s actress. According to Wikipedia, she claimed their son’s real father was Jack Nicholson. Not nice.
I wonder if the people who created the show really intended for Billy Mumy, Jonathan Harris and the robot to take over the show. The rest of the cast was bland and easy to ignore (especially if you were a kid and didn’t pick up on the sexual elements).
Like showbiz says, never act opposite a kid, an animal — or a robot.
Enjoyed his work, had the movie star “good looks.” RIP.
