Mooslim don't like sharing inheritances, so Mooslim siblings often have their children (AKA first cousins) marry each other to keep it all in the family. I know. In african tribal culture too.

I don't know if you've ever read Chaim Potak's The Chosen (I have), but apparently marrying your cousin is still practiced among ultra-Orthodox Jews.
