I should note, the headline almost makes it seem like she passed away, but that is not true.

Well, I understand that Mary Lou Retton is very sick now, and thus the praise. However, Julianne McNamara was no slouch either.

Why is she ‘uninsured’
Why the ‘go fund me’….?
She should be worth millions, at least

Mary Lou and the 1980 US olympic hockey team were the best representatives that this country could hope for. They were great.

I have been seeing her in late-night tv commercials the last few weeks Haven’t paid attention to what she was hawking, I think one of those $9.95 a month life insurance policies, or maybe some medical device.

Pneumonitis mistakenly diagnosed as pneumonia - leading to complications because of too many “doctors” being practioners of CDC dogma.

I think she’s on a ventilator with pneumonia. Sad.

thx for the post. i happened to watch so much of that olympics in person as we grew up in the area. she was the star by far. didn’t know she was so sick. so easiest thing in the world is to give a few bucks to fund her treatment and wing a prayer for her. she’s so deserving!

The real headline: Mary Lou Retton doesn’t have health insurance.
We bought the damned Wheaties. We didn’t even like Wheaties.
Obamacare said this wouldn’t happen.
Why is this a thing?

I remember watching her in the Olympics, I could have sworn she did a move they called the Retton Flop, note her shop was called the Flip Flop, but it did not come up in a search. However, here she in on the uneven bars and I believe when she lands on the top bar that was the "flop":
