Nice-looking cats. Our orange tabby Henry (short for Dr. Henry Metzger) looks like Boots except that he’s heavier and has no extra toes. Our youngest two (gray tabbies) are brothers, George and Percival, now two years old. They were ferals; we got them at about 8 weeks. George is pretty affectionate now, but Percy will always be shy.

Cats are great. I can’t imagine not having a few around, but my wife and I are getting to the age where we have to start thinking about them outliving us. Don’t know what we’ll do about that.

Ah, yes...I do enjoy those orange cats...:)

Their personalities are a bit different in some way than other cats, in the same way that Siamese have their own personality traits they somehow share.

That is always a tough issue. My wife and I have to consider that as well. It would break my heart to have to work to find a place to place them before I became insensible to the nature of the issue and unable to cogitate on it.

A double-edged sword there, indeed. You don’t do it, and they could end up immediately put down, or in some cat shelter, their future, good or bad, at the whim of fate. Bothers me just thinking of it.

I get so much enjoyment out of them.
