Sorry for a vanity, but I can't find any articles with this information.
Israel currently has ten Arab members of Knesset. (Their parliament) And I think they've had this many for a while. Most are Muslim, one is Druze, one is Christian, and some are indeterminate. Two of them are women.
Muslim:
Mansour Abbas
Youssef Atauna [This one has two wives, which is against the law in Israel, but I guess he gets away with it.]
Iman Khatib-Yasin (Woman)
Ayman Odeh (Raised Musim, but secular)
Ahmad Tibi
Walid Taha
Druze:
Hamad Amar
Christian:
Aida Touma-Suleiman (Woman)
I couldn't find the religion of the following:
Yasser Hujirat
Walid al-Huashla
Can anyone tell me how many Jewish members there are of the Iran and Saudi Arabia governments?
How about Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, etc.?
Would they allow a majority of the Knesset be muslims?
That’s like the rats letting the black caucus lead the party.
I’ll venture a guess of zero.
Well, there are elections. So, it depends on who is voted for.
Israel has a higher birth rate than most developed countries. I suspect that the birth rate is highest among Orthodox-leaning Jews, and Arabs. The number of secular Jews is probably going down.
Do you mean, Israel has ten Arab members IN THE Knesset?
They have names and they have addresses.
Israel limits the number of Arab MKs, so they will never have a majority.
What does that mean? Doxing them? These people are participating in the Israeli government, not engaging in terrorism.
Can you cite that law? How is that legal?
Iran has Jewish politicians (maybe not in their federal govt) but at more local levels yes.
There are still a large Jewish community in Iran. As long as they dont dare mention the “zionist entity” then they are fine.
that is not true. not even in the slightest.
“How many Jews in Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, governments?”
I’ve followed this from afar for 20 or 30 years. According to Wiki, the Knesset has had 100 Arab members since the first meeting in 1949.
I’ve read in articles over the years that make this exact point — other Arab nations have ZERO Jews in their governments. I don’t know if it is true, but it sounds about right.
I think this is always been true of Israel. It’s been one of the challenges, they face, that they will eventually be a Jewish minority state, especially if they annex areas such as Gaza and the Westbank.
What is not true?
I know there are Jews in Iran, and some of them are wealthy, but they tend to keep a low profile.
Leave them alone! Israel’s long-term future stability in peace depends on the assimulation and a government that recognizes all of its citizens equally. Otherwise, they became what they are accused of, an apartheid regime.
Perhaps, but their religion is terrorism, jihad, kill the unbelievers where you find them. Their religion calls for "convert or die". You are insinuating that these government Knesset members do not believe their religion. I do not think the religions are compatible.
The best place for a Muslim Arab to live is Israel. Many Jewish Israelis have Muslim friends, and they get along just fine.
So, you think Israel should be more like Iran and Saudi Arabia?
That's what I've been saying all along.
