On a windy trash day it keeps my trash container lid down and trash from blowing down the street. When it is tipped upside it loses its grip from the weight of the trash.
Gun stuff. I’ve taped flashlights to my rifles and shotguns before. I’ve taped paracord to the bottom of my mags for quick pouch pullouts. Saves silly money for those kind of things.
Yes. It's actually horrible for duct work. Ironic.
Years ago when I drove a '69 Spitfire, I had a starter going out. I carried a hammer in my car for those moments when I wasn't on a hill to push start it. I could actually reach the ignition with one hand while stretching to tap the starter with the other. Tiny little cars, those Spitfires.
Spare the tape spoil the job.
You left out the hammer.
You need to continue the flowchart past both the WD-40 and the duct tape. After each, ask “Did it work?” If yes, then “No Problem.” If no, then you add the picture of a hammer.
Easily solved (at least temporarily) with the application of another layer of duct tape.
The folks we bought our home from wrapped all the chains in the pasture with duct tape. They were such a mess from disintegrated tape, we had to replace all the chains, lol.

How about glues. I have been using high viscosity E6000 (the construction cartridge size) on the bottom of my athletic shoes, to extend their life, where I get maximum wear on them.. Same company makes the well known shoe goo, so I figure they are the same.
