This reminds me of Walter Lord's A Night to Remember about the sinking of the Titanic. People from around the world enjoying an evening of relaxation when their world suddenly changes. Of course, the iceberg had no malice or prejudice.

Ah an “influencer”, that explains it.

When I saw her pic as a victim before I read the story I assumed she was the 19 yr old she looked to be. But she turned out to be thirty years old. I thought thirty was rather old to be at a Rave like thing. In her hair makeup and dress she looks exactly like the teens running around my locality. Once upon a time a thirty year old would be married with a few toddlers swarming around her. Alas, deferred adulthood can cut that off. RIP, poor thing.
