Tucker Carlson, one of Fox News' biggest boosters of President Donald Trump, made an impassioned case against the airstrike that killed Iran’s top military leader, blasting Washington for ignoring "the big picture."

During his Friday night show, "Tucker Carlson Tonight," the host decried the escalation of tensions with Iran sparked by the killing of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani.

"No one in Washington is in the mood for big-picture questions right now," he lamented. "Questions like: Is Iran really the greatest threat we face?

All high profile conservatives including President Trump have condemned Biden for sending billions in ransoms and cash to Iran. Nothing but crickets from Tucker, though.

Tucker Carlson still MIA on the Hamas terrorist attacks on the Israeli people.
No condemnation of Hamas.
No condemnation of Iran.
No statement of support for Israel.
No condemnation of Biden for sending billions of dollars in cash and ransoms to Iran.

Simple mind -- simple statement.

So now we must "virtue signal" at every event in the world.

I: condemn that hurricane, condemn that thunderstorm, condemn that volcano, condemn that Zelensky who oversaw the destruction of his country when he could have stopped it over a year ago through negotiations.....

Get it?

We've listened to your simple-minded comments daily for way too long. That my condemnation.

“Tucker Carlson still MIA on the Hamas terrorist attacks on the Israeli people.”

He has to see which way the wind is blowing before making a decision.

exactly. I’ve got ‘neo-conservative’ friends who despise Tucker. You ask them why, and you get the brain-dead eyeroll. Fact is, neo-cons hate people that they know are smarter than them.

Condemning this terrorist attack is not virtue signaling.

You are literally asking for Tucker to break an established pattern of behavior (with regards to his Twitter channel) so he can signal his virtue to the world.

It would have all the weight and meaning of this tweet from John Fetterman:

Wow, first his statement on China, now this.

Good week for Fetterman (or whoever wrote it)

But who here honestly *cares* about the opinion of John Fetterman?

In terms of moral value to your average conservative, what is it even worth?

Why the Robinsons haven’t kicked you off this forum yet is beyond me. You’re like a persistent propagandist spreading crap all over FR.

Was President Trump’s condemnation of the attacks virtue signaling?

President Reagan wasn’t virtue signaling when he condemned the Iranian bombing of our USMC barracks in Beirut in 1983. Iran murdered 250 US marines in that attack. Never forget.

Okay. I get it.

Where were your, and others, condemnation when Dugan's daughter was blown away in Moscow by terrorists?

I know. I see. Selective virtue signaling -- which is okay.

Dugan was blown up by Putin’s FSB for stealing. She got the Prigo treatment.

Now, pray tell, exactly how do you know this?

Do you have documents that no one else knows about? Maybe you've got an inside connection to Biden's spin machine.

Let's just make it up as we go along -- as usual.

I think Tucker is good.

That said, Tucker was absurdly wrong when he said this. And I pointed this out back then too.

He doesn’t need to satisfy me, but I normally respect his opinion.

Unlike most, when someone disagrees with me, I look at why or how they arrived at their opinion. I try my best to understand WHY they hold their opinion.

I tend to look at the bigger picture and the long game, not the quick emotional response.

Thus, my comment that Tucker is not looking at the bigger picture. If I looked at the short term, I might agree with him.

The same is true with your judgement of my comment.

Trump is constantly commenting about everything. He did it on Twitter, and he does not on Truth Social. Plus, he will likely be the Republican nominee for President, so he will be directly responsible for foreign policy.

Tucker is not constantly commenting about everything, and largely uses his Twitter channel solely to post episodes of his show or clips from his speeches. Furthermore, he is only a pundit.

They are not the same.

The majority of my comment is directed at marcusmaximus, because he wants a pledge of support from a media pundit whose opinion he apparently cares very little for.

I only tagged you and Blackbird because you had been the only other posters at the time.

I have no issue with your original comment, since it’s perfectly reasonable in and of itself.

Again: the President of the United States and a media pundit aren’t even in the same category. Why are you pretending that they are?

(And what does a terrorist attack 40 years ago in Lebanon have to do with your desire for Tucker Carlson to opine about Israel vs. Hamas?)
