Fifty years ago, in 1973, the French author Jean Raspail released a then seemingly far-fetched novel titled “The Camp of the Saints,” which portrayed a massive influx of immigrants to France and Europe. Now, on the 50th anniversary of the book’s publication, the narrative feels eerily prescient as countries like Italy and Poland grapple with real immigration pressures.
The powerhouse countries of Germany and France tend to set the agenda on the immigration issue, while countries like Poland and Italy find themselves responding to events rather than shaping them. Recent weeks have seen this topic heat up, especially in Italy, where the island of Lampedusa has become a flashpoint. The island is inundated with migrants arriving in large numbers on boats from the African mainland. Meanwhile, a film titled “Green Border” has stirred controversy in Poland, by portraying its border guards as ruthless enforcers for a quasi-fascistic government.
I would recommend all viewers so enamored with Agnieszka Holland’s “work” to at least go to Naples. Get off the train arriving at Napoli Centrale and walk a bit towards the Forcella district, among the stalls, streets, and alleys filled with African and Middle Eastern migrants. I would also suggest traveling to an Italian city, town, or district with a significant immigrant population and letting your daughter take a dog for a walk in the evening. After all, it’s normal for a child to be able to go out in the evening with a dog for a stroll in the city park, right?

the LEFT read it and adopted it as a game plan
just like 1984 and Brave New World
Britain, Sweden, Ireland have all been very welcoming.
But in sense, the American Empire -- its media and universities -- have led the way.
* Post WW 2 "denazification" made Europeans in general, and Germans in particular, wary of anything "racist."
* For decades, Hollywood entertainment flooded Europe, preaching the evils of "racism."
* For decades, the U.S. State Dept. has lobbied against "racism" in Europe. Look at how they brand Hungary "anti-democratic" for wanting to protect its borders.
* Universities have been hotbeds of "anti-colonialist" and anti-racist" studies programs.
* NGOs, the UN, NATO (all heavily funded by the U.S.) have also pressured Europe to adopt "anti-racist" immigration policies.
Not that European elites haven't been complicit. But the U.S. has led the way.
I have it. my father made me read it in the 90s and he told me that this is what’s going to destroy America. That’s a true story.
It’s a Eurosoccialist manifesto.
Both were speaking truth.
Invasion of the West.
I did some conservative radio shows in the late 80s talking about this book when I was active in the movement, no one really cared.
Americans and the West in general are passive and disinterested in their survival.
A dystopian hell is coming.
I read this book in 1973 when most folks thought the dystopian vision of mass immigration to modern countries by third world masses in search of a better life was simply ridiculous.
All of Europe and the U.S is now engaged with the problem of how to deal with huge numbers of immigrants who want the benefits of first world living.
I read it and I think I still have it. I’ve been watching it come to pass for years. I have lost any hope there was.
The Camp of the Sane and The Camp of the Saints - A Book Review
[Posted on March 21, 2021 by Baron Bodissey, at Gates of Vienna website]EXCERPTS:
Jean Raspail died in June 2020, shortly before he would have turned 95. He lived to see his native France and other Western countries being partly overrun by migrants. Max Denken completed The Camp of the Sane in the summer of 2020, just as the author of The Camp of the Saints died. Western cities were then engulfed in Black Lives Matter protests, attacks on statues and European monuments and sometimes violent riots.
Western mass media presented U.S. President Trump as an extremely evil man, as they had been doing continuously for five years. Some Western media said more positive things about the Communist dictator Fidel Castro when he died in November 2016 than they said about Donald Trump when he won free elections that some month.
Max Denken has Polish ancestry, has lived in California for many years and worked in other parts of the world. He considers the entire Western world to be deeply sick and heading for some form of collapse. This applies to North America as well as Western Europe. Against this crumbling Camp of the Saints, Denken pits what he terms The Camp of the Sane.
Roughly speaking, this encompasses much of the eastern half of Europe, or at least the eastern quarter. Ironically, these are countries that were squeezed and bloodied between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union during the Second World War and endured generations of repressive Communist rule during the Cold War. Perhaps their recent historical experiences have provided these nations with a stronger resistance against ideological indoctrination.
Interesting. Thanks.
