Tucker Carlson Again Criticizes Iran Escalation: ‘Our Leaders Have A Built-In Bias For War’ (Flashback)

Fox News‘ Tucker Carlson again criticized the Trump administration’s escalation of conflict with Iran, questioning why some of the same officials were trusting the “deep state” intelligence agencies that they had viewed with skepticism before.

Soon after news broke that Donald Trump ordered an airstrike that killed Iran’s military leader Qasem Soleimani, Carlson has been questioning the rationale and wisdom for the move, seeing it as a prelude to a wider conflict. The Tucker Carlson Tonight host diverged from his own support of Trump, along with other Fox News hosts who have backed the president’s action wholeheartedly.

On a Monday segment on his show (watch it above), Carlson said at the outset, “It is harder to get rich and powerful during peacetime, and so our leaders have a built-in bias for war.”

“It is harder to get rich and powerful during peacetime, and so our leaders have a built-in bias for war.”

Harder for some, perhaps. For nations, it is easier to become rich during peace time. Wars are expensive and destructive. Wars destroyed the British Empire. They spent themselves to poverty.

If you want peace, prepare for war.

Remember, Iran wants to destroy us. Not because we caused them harm, but because we exist.

Some background

Muhandis was a wanted man for a 1983 US embassy bombing in Kuwait, in which ‘ only” 6 people died because the bomb was faulty. He was sentenced to death in absentia in by a Kuwaiti court …charges later “ dropped”….
Of course he stayed free and continued his line of work as a terrorist
Libs and idiots like Tucker thought he was meeting Soleimani in Baghdad for tea and golf….Reports they were planning an arrack on the US Embassy in Baghdad were just “ conspiracy theories”

General Soleimani for his part, a longtime planner of terrorism via the radical IRGC and other networks, was named by a NY court as a co-conspirator in 911, having facilitated logistics for the attack. The court was allowed to consider classified information in its work. A former CIA director was a witness for the plaintiffs. The court case awarded damages to survivors from the Govt of Iran. A judgement which to my knowledge has been ignored by Iran. Thus one of the reasons its funds were frozen ….among other cases of damages awarded by cases from Iranian terrorism vs US citizens. Such as our Embassy seizure and over 400 days of diplomatic hostages.

Soleimani was a military officer from a country engaged in belligerent acts vs the US and Iraqis in Iraq. He died in uniform in Iraq, a combatant nation of which he was not a citizen, during the planning of an enemy attack. Thus he made it easy and obvious that he was a legitimate military target under terms of the Geneva Convention. Not that Iran plays by Marquis of Queensberry rules.

A lot of people have been horribly misled by Tucker Carlson.
He had on guests who said we were trying to cause a war with Iran - and that we would be defeated by Iran!
Tell me is Hamas slaughtering men women and children because some “bankers want to get rich”?
Is this all part of our globalist plot?
It’s a dangerous world and we have real enemies.
Do you watch what’s happening in Israel and say “not our fight” and “we can’t afford it” and “Israel made them do it”.
Tucker Carlson is a defeatist and a leftist on these issues, and a rather crazy one.

Regarding sanctions and seizing assets from Iran, Tucker and his guests insisted that economic sanctions were identical to actual warfare, and that we were guilty of starting a war with Iran.

This is where those stupid left wing arguments lead. The slaughter of women and children.

Does anyone believe that the Biden administration (meaning Obama/Jarret) wouldn’t facilitate Iranians to get at Trump?

Tucker still hasn’t condemned Hamas and Iran for the attacks.

“Tucker Carlson is a defeatist and a leftist on these issues, and a rather crazy one.”

I always thought he was a little “off”.

Never a big fan anyway. Hardly ever watched his show on fox and watched one new podcast.

He is still a urinalist.
