Russia has lost over 20 tanks today across the entire frontlines showing that Russian armor is being countered heavily on the frontlines. Ukrainian and Russian forces have traded small amounts of ground in several areas of the line, but Russian forces appeared to pay a heavy price in the fighting.
War has begun in Israel, and reports of over 300 civilians being executed by Hamas has been reported. The situation is incredibly dire, and Israel is using all available resources to stop the attacks.

Dear Ukrainians!
Today, since morning, I have been in constant contact with our diplomats and intelligence.
Due to the terrorist attack on Israel and the threat to our citizens in Israel, an operational headquarters has been established under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. All agencies and our embassy are monitoring information about Ukrainian citizens who may be in danger.
As of now, the information about the possible death of one Ukrainian citizen is being verified and the search for two of our citizens is underway.
As soon as the details regarding these people are verified, Ukrainian diplomats will announce it to the public.
Please, dear Ukrainians, if you are in Israel now, be as careful as possible. Follow the instructions of the security forces and take care of yourself and others around you. If you need anything, please contact our embassy by any means available to you – Ukraine will help all its people, no matter what.
Today, the whole world has seen horrific footage from Israel – footage of terrorists abusing women and men, taking even the elderly hostage without mercy... My condolences to all those whose loved ones have been killed! I wish a speedy recovery to everyone wounded.
When such a terrorist attack occurs, everyone who values life must stand in solidarity.
We in Ukraine are particularly sensitive to what has happened. Thousands of missiles in the sky of Israel... People killed right in the streets... Riddled cars with civilians... Abuse of hostages... Unfortunately, terror has also brought all this to the streets of Ukrainian cities and villages... Our position is absolutely clear: anywhere in the world, anyone who brings terror and death must be held accountable.
Today’s terrorist attack on Israel was thoroughly prepared, and the whole world understands which sponsors of terror could have encouraged and organized this attack.
Israel has every right to protect itself from terror. So does any other state. And it is very important for the whole world to respond to terror in a united and principled fashion.
No support for terrorists! Wherever they aim their missiles and whomever they attack, terrorists must lose. And this is important for the whole world. Human life, peace and tranquility of nations are equally important everywhere – in Asia, Europe, Africa, America and Australia. Everywhere.
Let the value of human life and the intolerance of terror be the principles that will finally unite the whole world.

Appalling news from Israel. I extend my condolences to all those whose loved ones were killed in the terrorist attack.
We believe that order will be restored and terrorists will be eliminated.
Terror must not be given a single chance anywhere in the world, because terror is always a crime not just against one country or its specific victims, but against humanity as a whole and our entire world.
Whoever uses terror commits a crime against the world. Whoever sponsors terror commits a crime against the world.
The world must stand in unity and solidarity so that terror never attempts to conquer or destroy life anywhere.
Israel’s right to defense is beyond question.

Day 591 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.
The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, strikes and shells both military and civilian objects.
During the day of October 7, there were 50 combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 8 missile and 25 air strikes, 30 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Thus, at night, the kremlin’s terrorist forces launched another series of missile attacks on civilian port infrastructure in Odesa oblast as well as on the central area of the city of Myrhorod (Poltava oblast). Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilians. A grain storage facility, buildings of a boarding house in a recreational area, apartment and private residential buildings, a vocational school, and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
VOLYN and POLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.
SIVERSHCHYNA and SLOBOZHANSHCHYNA AXIS: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues to shell Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy launched an air strike in the vicinity of the settlement of Stepne (Sumy oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Volfyne, Pysarivka, Hrabovske, Porozok (Sumy oblast), Udy, Pletenivka, Milove (Kharkiv oblast).
KUPYANSK AXIS: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 10x enemy attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka and Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast). The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Kupyansk, Kyrylivka, Pishchane, Petropavlivka (Kharkiv oblast). More than 10 settlements, including Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire.
LYMAN AXIS: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 5x enemy attacks in the area of Makiyivka (Luhansk oblast). The settlements of Novolyubivka, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Katerynivka, Spirne (Donetsk oblast) suffered enemy air strikes. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast) and Spirne, Rozdolivka, (Donetsk oblast).
BAKHMUT AXIS: the invaders launched air strikes near Klishchiivka and New York (Donetsk oblast). More than 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Kurdyumivka, Dachne, Pivnichne, Zalizne Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka (Donetsk oblast).
AVDIYIVKA AXIS: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled all enemy attacks near Avdiyivka and Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Sukha Balka, Novobakhmutivka, Keramik, Avdiyivka, Opytne, Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).
MAR’INKA AXIS: during the day of October 7, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled 12 enemy attacks in the vicinities of Maryinka, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched an air strike near Maryinka (Donetsk oblast). About 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Antonivka, Katerynivka (Donetsk oblast) were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
SHAKHTARSKE AXIS: under heavy artillery fire and air strikes, Ukrainian defenders repelled 8 enemy attacks in the area of Vodyane (Donetsk oblast). The enemy unsuccessfully tried to regain the lost ground to the east of Zolota Nyva (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinity of Volodyne (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: the occupiers launched an air strike in the vicinity of Pryyutne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 30 settlements, including Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Lobkove, Mali Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
KHERSON AXIS: the enemy fired artillery and mortars at Zolota Balka, Nechajeve, Shyroka Balka (Kherson oblast) and the city of Kherson.
At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol axis and offensive (assault) operations on Bakhmut axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.
The russian occupiers continue to place military hospitals in houses with civilians. Thus, in the city of Lysychansk (Luhansk oblast), the russian occupation forces set up a military hospital in an apartment building with civilians living in it. Also, in the settlement of Nyzhni Sirohozy (Kherson oblast), the occupiers moved sick civilians from the hospital to nearby private houses in order to free up hospital wards for wounded soldiers of the occupation forces.
During the day of October 7, Ukrainian Air Force launched 8 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, 5 air strikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems of the adversary.
The Ukrainian missile troops hit 1 artillery system, 1 concentration of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1 electronic warfare station of the russian invaders.

The Government is working to strengthen national defense capabilities and has changed its approach to the development of the military-industrial complex. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a Question Time with the Government at the Verkhovna Rada on October 6.
“Ukraine appreciates and expresses gratitude to all partners for their military support. The contribution of the United States and the European Union is of particular importance - almost USD 44 billion and EUR 25 billion respectively. At the same time, Ukraine is working to improve its domestic defense capabilities,” the Head of Government emphasized.
According to Denys Shmyhal, approaches to the development of the Ukrainian defense industry have been radically changed, and a new company has been established on the basis of Ukroboronprom in accordance with modern corporate governance standards.
“We have focused on new design solutions, manufacturability, and technology transfer. A special emphasis is placed on drones, which determine the nature of modern warfare,” said Denys Shmyhal.
In particular, according to him, a fast track has been created for the rapid import of drones and equipment to Ukraine. The Government has also expanded the list of military and dual-use goods that can be imported without the permission of the State Export Control Service. In addition, procedures for defense procurement of Ukrainian drones have been simplified.
“The path of a drone from development to procurement is now as short as possible. Over the year, drone production has increased 100 times. More than 200 Ukrainian companies have embarked on the production of UAVs,” the Prime Minister said.
The Head of Government also emphasized that in 2024 the Ukrainian defense industry would have even more resources. Thus, it is planned that expenditures on defense production will increase 7 times to UAH 55.8 billion, and more than UAH 48 billion is provided for the replenishment and enlargement of the drone army.
“The enemy can already feel the strength and power of our weapons, and will feel it even more,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
