According to the University of Hong Hong Medical school 1 of 4 Chinese (Including my wife) cannot metabolize alcohol. She gets fall down drunk on 1/2 a glass of Champaign.
I’ve heard it said that Asians...*East* Asians IIRC...often react badly...strongly...to even small quantities of alcohol.
