I’m glad when anyone can join in and enjoy riding, no matter what bike.
Having been a director in a veterans based riding club , and also owning 5 Harleys , I tend to rip on them a bunch. It’s many things. For example when my buddy bought his 2008 dyna he was told he had to bring it in for oil changes and they created a very expensive tool just to remove the oil filter to make sure you brought it in. Willy G going on tv and blabbing how he wants to modernize his core customers. After buying 5 new bikes from a dealer you think they would reward loyal customers with a discount… oh heck no.
If you like and enjoy your bike though , there’s nothing wrong with that.
Just be safe and keep the rubber side down.

You owned one; you’re entitled . . .

I don’t know why I let it bother me yesterday, shame on me. After owning seven bikes (all purchased new) from the land of the Rising Sun (and all the troubles that came with them) you’d think I’d be immune to the slings and arrows from the detractors.

The story of the KLR (currently on the lift) is kind of funny.

The vacuum powered fuel petcock decided to stay open. The entire seven gallons of fuel slowly poured into the carburetor, past the float bowl, down the intake and into the engine, and dissolved the clutch plates. The rest of the fuel (that didn’t fit in the engine) poured into the airbox and dissolved the air cleaner and leaked out into a three foot diameter puddle on the floor.

Gotta love that Japanize quality!

It’s still on the lift because the parts house sent me a clutch for a YZR instead of a KLR . . .

BTW, does anybody need a FREE set of clutch plates for a Yamahahaha YZR? Unopened. The parts house won’t accept returns.
