I remember the days when there weren’t any cash registers to tell you how much change to give back.
Yep. My first job at 16. KFC. We had to count out the change ourselves. And guess what? It wasn’t difficult.
We all had part time jobs as teenagers; it was just a given. Nobody made us. We wanted to earn our gas money, money for albums, movies, concert tickets, etc. and stick a couple of bucks away each week.
My next part-time job in my college days was at a department store. And we had those new-fangled registers that told us how much change to give back. LOL
I was recently in the drive through at a McDonald’s. I gave the kid something like 7 dollar bills, 6 quarters, 2 dimes and 3 pennies. The guy spread it out on the counter and stared at it. I let him stare for at least five minutes before I told him that was the correct amount. He said, “Thanks, Dude.” I drove forward and got my order.
