The only thing about these dumbos is that they don’t realize that stealing modern devices - phones, laptops, whatever - is pointless, because both the seller and the owner have records of them and they can be both shut down and wiped from afar.

That is a complete misreading of negritude. A completely bricked IPhone 15 titanium is a trophy. You can carry it around, make sure people see you having it and you acquire serious social cachet.
