How about people wear helmets, knee, elbow, and wrist protection just like when using roller blades? But, nope, 99% of the people I see on various devices are donning no protective equipment whatsoever.
“can stop balancing the rider if the boards’ limits are exceeded”
unlike skateboards...
I'm sure it's probably the same technology that enables a tomato to fling itself outside of a car going 60km hr when it senses an impending crash.
I was up in Ann Arbor about a month ago and saw one of those things. I had to ask my host if I was hallucinating. Guy was ripping down a hill at maybe 20 MPH with no PPE of any kind.
Kind of stupid - just pay the extra $10 and get 2 wheels.
Yeah, I saw a guy in a busy traffic lane more or less keeping up with 30 mph traffic. Had a helmet but there’s lots of other organs that can get crushed.
the following recall can be found documented online in 2021, 2022 and now 2023. how much longer can the “e” economy pretend it is “clean” and “green”?

SSSSSSHHHHHHHH, quiet people. This is how you thin the herd!
How long until those green devices in you garage or workshop with lithium or similar batteries start exploding or burning on their charger resulting in a house fire?
Never had to worry about my Dewalt cordless tools.
E Vs kill.
You haven’t lived until you’ve felt speed wobbles.
The last time I ever used it was stupidly down a hill.
Never had to worry about my Dewalt cordless tools.
They don’t use lithium batteries?
The only warrant for regulation here is as it relates to being a danger to others. But otherwise, the gov. should not regulate this in requiring safety equipment, as long as the user forfeits any right to medical care at the expense of others who do not choose to provide it. But "dozens of reports of incidents" as a fraction of users is all it takes for more regulation.
Meanwhile, although warnings, restrictions, and bans and higher insurance rates are levied on smokers, yet sodomy is promoted, even though it has historically been responsible for over 80% of new HIV cases among men, plus a greatly increased incidence of other infectious diseases, and of premature death, including by suicide.
And with Medicaid accounting for "45% of all federal HIV spending in FY221 and it is the largest source of public spending for HIV care in the U.S," while "almost all health insurers must cover the HIV prevention pill, known as PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, with no cost sharing — including for the drug itself and, crucially, for clinic visits and lab tests." And for "any Medicaid insured HIV-negative adult 18 years of age or older patients, lab testing and prescription medication costs for PreP are 100% covered." If a consensual religious practice - lets say the Lord's supper - was shown to be responsible for 81% of new HIV cases aged 13 and older among men - - despite only representing approximately 4% of the male population - and up to 92% of new HIV among male youth, and (historically) a greatly increased incidence of other infectious diseases and premature death, and despite decades of attempting to tame it into being "safe," - at significant y taxpayer expense - then it would be treated as the plague.
Lol. Speed wobbles are no problem if you just slow down a bit. It’s when you don’t slow down and they develop into tank slappers that it gets exciting.
Does that mean the kind of large people who I see riding Walmart scooters in the store? I have yet to see a thin person tooling around in one of those things. And I have not seen one of those scooters in the aisles where they sell fresh produce, diet-conscious food, or work boots. Just in the pastry aisle, sugar cereal, and yoga pants aisles.
How many have been drinking before hopping on that wheel?
