How about people wear helmets, knee, elbow, and wrist protection just like when using roller blades? But, nope, 99% of the people I see on various devices are donning no protective equipment whatsoever.
The only warrant for regulation here is as it relates to being a danger to others. But otherwise, the gov. should not regulate this in requiring safety equipment, as long as the user forfeits any right to medical care at the expense of others who do not choose to provide it. But "dozens of reports of incidents" as a fraction of users is all it takes for more regulation.
Meanwhile, although warnings, restrictions, and bans and higher insurance rates are levied on smokers, yet sodomy is promoted, even though it has historically been responsible for over 80% of new HIV cases among men, plus a greatly increased incidence of other infectious diseases, and of premature death, including by suicide.
And with Medicaid accounting for "45% of all federal HIV spending in FY221 and it is the largest source of public spending for HIV care in the U.S," while "almost all health insurers must cover the HIV prevention pill, known as PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, with no cost sharing — including for the drug itself and, crucially, for clinic visits and lab tests." And for "any Medicaid insured HIV-negative adult 18 years of age or older patients, lab testing and prescription medication costs for PreP are 100% covered." If a consensual religious practice - lets say the Lord's supper - was shown to be responsible for 81% of new HIV cases aged 13 and older among men - - despite only representing approximately 4% of the male population - and up to 92% of new HIV among male youth, and (historically) a greatly increased incidence of other infectious diseases and premature death, and despite decades of attempting to tame it into being "safe," - at significant y taxpayer expense - then it would be treated as the plague.
