Victor Davis Hanson: ‘Completely clean out’ rogue government agencies
American Greatness ^ | 29 Sep, 2023 | By AG Staff

Posted on 09/30/2023 6:09:54 AM PDT by MtnClimber

Victor Davis Hanson, speaking to host Dan Proft on American Greatness’ “Counterculture” podcast, said that it’s necessary to “clean up and break up” rogue government agencies that “lie with impunity.”

“How do you stop the DOJ, the FBI, the CIA, the local prosecutors from doing what they’re doing?” Hanson asked Proft. “James Comey, Anthony Fauci, Robert Mueller, Andrew McCabe — that lie with impunity?”

“You’d have to go through and completely clean out and break up those agencies.”

This full interview is available on Rumble, YouTube, and Spotify.

In his interview with Proft, Hanson offered an analysis of the current U.S. political climate, focusing on the prosecutions of former president Trump, who faces four indictments and 91 felony charges as of the date of the interview.

Hanson also shared his views on what “counter-revolutionaries” must do to end the abuses of the Left.

Hanson is a renowned American military historian, columnist, former classics professor, and scholar of ancient warfare. He is a distinguished fellow of the Center for American Greatness and the Martin and Illy Anderson Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. Hanson has authored several books, including The Second World Wars, The Case for Trump, and the recently released The Dying Citizen. His insights and analyses on political and historical matters are widely respected and sought after in academic and media circles.

I have a pretty hard time imagining anyone getting rid of any alphabet agency or even reducing budgets in the era of the 24 news cycle and media disaster porn. Our dumb screen culture society has become conditioned to be 100% risk adverse. No one wants to be the pol who cut the security/intelligence budget and is then invariably blamed when something terrible happens...or is allowed to happen. Giant intelligence failures only seem to get them bigger budgets.

There is a wealth of evidence to support the claim that rogue government agencies are a threat to democracy. For example:

The CIA has lied about its involvement in coups, assassinations, and other illegal activities.

The NSA has lied about its mass surveillance programs.

The FBI has lied about its use of informants and entrapment operations.

The FDA has lied about the safety of certain drugs and medical devices.

The EPA has lied about the dangers of air and water pollution.

These are just a few examples of the many ways in which rogue government agencies have lied to the public.

Premise 1: Rogue government agencies often lie with impunity.
Premise 2: Lying undermines trust.
Premise 3: Trust is essential for democracy to function properly.
Conclusion: Rogue government agencies are a threat to democracy.

If there is to be justice, this will involve trials, convictions, and sentencing convicted traitors

I'm afraid that this path is too messy, complicated and dilatory. Given the enormity of corruption and treason involved, direct, kinetic "self help" is the only sure remedy.

The only actor in public view who is saying this is Ramaswamy. That’s why I hope Trump picks him for VP because after Trump is gone, and Trump’s VP is elected President in 2028, Ramaswamy can continue the process of MAGA by dismantling the unconstitutional portion of the feds and constitutionally giving back the states and the people the power that constitutionally belongs to them.

“You’d have to go through and completely clean out and break up those agencies.”

The states tried this with the defunding of law enforcement at their local level with no force backup to sustain control.

“In the Nation’s major cities, homicides were 42.6% higher in 2022 compared to 2019. In just the past year, robbery has increased by 13%, larceny by 20%, motor vehicle thefts by 21%, and residential and nonresidential burglaries by 6% and 8%, respectively.”

https://americafirstpolicy.com/latest/2022-year-end-review-crime-in-america#:~:text=In%20the%20Nation‘s%20major%20cities,%25%20and%208%25%2C%20respectively.

This was during the time of the defunding taking effect with the lack of law enforcement replacement and has displayed the failed idea of just tossing an LE group because some within it are criminal themselves.

“His insights and analyses on political and historical matters are widely respected and sought after in academic and media circles.”

But putting them into practice has done the opposite of what he is claiming to be the answer. But that is on paper only since it is respected by academic and media circles and not the criminals. They don’t respect or listen to him at all.

“We wouldn’t have this problem if the constitution was followed and a foreigner born America hating pansy wasn’t installed as President.”

Probably would have been worse if Skunk Cabbage won the 2008 Primary (and then General Election) - she is Psycho. Easy to blame problems on foreigners, but there are PLENTY of Pure Evil, Red Blooded, Americans that don’t even need any help from overseas.

Repeal the statutes forming those agencies. Claw back their pensions, fire every last one of them.

my solution is to relocate them to some placea like Nome, Alaska or even Hawaii ... as chief executive, the President has authority to do that ...

If elected Trump would declare jihad on these rogue agencies. However there needs to be a major reorganization and a break up of some of these agencies particularly the FBI. Moving some of these agencies out of Washington DC might drain some of the swamp. The Department of Agricultural logically ought to be in farm coubtry, someplace like Des Moines, IA. Move the Department of Interior to Montana or Wyoming. The Department of Energy should be in Oklahoma City.

The rogue agencies know Trump is an existential threat to their corruption. They are not idle. They are planning big moves.

We are overdue for a large terrorist attack that they can leverage for more control.

If you move them out of the DC area you would lose anywhere from 25 to 50%.

That’s the idea. You don’t even have to fire them.

If you ‘fired’ them, you would be almost instantly in ‘court’ with an uncertain outcome. (Also, there would be multiple lawsuits with multiple ‘reasons’!) Relocate the agencies it might be more difficult politically but if done it comes down to the employee’s decision to relocate or not.

Not enough. The old free USA I loved is gone for good.

The USA itself must be broken up for peace in the world.
