That's an interesting point he makes, Freepers?
And I guess Zeepers too.. Why is this...

And I guess Zeepers too..
Zeepers have told me countless times on this forum that you cannot have elections in a time of war.
However, if the neocons have a change of heart and tell Zelensky he must have elections, the Zeepers will tell us you can have elections in a time of war.

Is it worth pointing out that what’s happening in Ukraine is not a civil war?
To: RandFan
I wouldn’t disagree with this but the elephant in the room is Putin is president for life.
He’s been leader for decades.
Why is it cool RasPutin is dictator for three decades?

Easy answer: Because the Ukrainian constitution allows the President to suspend elections when the country gets invaded.

The America I grew up in also had a dress code.
We are compromising and meeting Ukraine in the middle.
Unacceptable for US 🇺🇸

I thought we had the war BECAUSE of an election...
...of Lincoln.
Could history repeat itself if President Trump is re-elected?

Who’s left to vote anyway? Most everyone has been run off or killed.

According to the Uke harpies, Zel is righteous and good when he outlaws political parties, shuts down the Orthodox Church and appoints himself dictator.
There’s nothing wrong with dressing in heels, going naked in public and playing piano with your dick.
Or buying villas and cars with American’s money... borrowed from China.

Z is president for life, suspends elections, outlaws opposition parties, Putin does mostly the same thing...neither is a good reason to get involved in their spat or send money, arms and advisors into THEIR mess.
They want to be big boys measuring their weaner's in public, getting kids killed, LET THEM but don't demand that I or my family pay for it, I don't want that blood on my hands.
Defund Ukraine. Embargo Russia. End this Mess.

The majority of the world’s countries suspend elections and civil rights during a war. The USA is a very special exception and few people appreciate this.

And Putin is President for Life in Russia. So what?
If Ukraine was a nuclear power, if Ukraine was invading Russia, if Ukraine was threatening to attack (checks notes) Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Romania and Moldova. And probably some other places I missed. Then I would be all for supporting Russia, to repel Ukrainian aggression, and kill and maim so many Ukes in the process that we would have a generation before they got the nerve to put their conquest machine on the road again.
You don't have to be a fan of King Zog, or Emperor Haile Selassie, to condemn Mussolini's invasions of Albania, and Ethiopia. You do have to be fan of Mussolini to support them, and a Putin Fanbois to support Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

If we had a civil war today, elections might well be cancelled. Polling places would be subject to attack by one faction or another or just by lone nuts.
Britain postponed elections during the Second World War, yet they were still a representative Democracy and not a dictatorship.
