Zeepers have told me countless times on this forum that you cannot have elections in a time of war.
However, if the neocons have a change of heart and tell Zelensky he must have elections, the Zeepers will tell us you can have elections in a time of war.

Is it worth pointing out that what’s happening in Ukraine is not a civil war?
To: RandFan
I wouldn’t disagree with this but the elephant in the room is Putin is president for life.
He’s been leader for decades.
Why is it cool RasPutin is dictator for three decades?

Easy answer: Because the Ukrainian constitution allows the President to suspend elections when the country gets invaded.

He's wildly popular in Russia (about 70% approval rating) and he'll probably win re-election in March 2024. Unfortunately for you, the Communist Party is a total joke in Russia these days. Even worse than the GOP.

The America I grew up in also had a dress code.
We are compromising and meeting Ukraine in the middle.

I thought we had the war BECAUSE of an election...

Could history repeat itself if President Trump is re-elected?

It’s another one of those stupid ethnic border wars the Europeans have been having for centuries. We were well shut of those until 1917. Now we’re neck deep in the lunacy.

This is true for Americans who get their knowledge of Russian politics from CNN. Putin's main opposition, the Communist Party, is pathetic. They only hold 57 of the Duma's 450 seats. But even if the communists overthrow Putin tomorrow in a coup, nothing in Ukraine would change. Their platform is the same: to fight and win in Ukraine.
To: Right_Wing_Madman
Yes, they’re all communists. Like you just said.

Russia has a 13% flat tax. What are taxes like in the United States?

Funny how you’re changing the subject to shill for Russia when the post is about tin plate dictators who are presidents for life.
Putin is the worst thing that happened to Russia after the USSR ended.
He trying to self immolate, himself and Russia.
He and his buddy Schwabe and girlfriend Merkel have held Russia back from being as great as it could be.
George Bush saw his great soul looking in to his eyes.

Okay, back to topic. Putin is willing to face the electorate in March 2024. Your buddy, Zelensky, cancelled all elections until further notice.
To: Right_Wing_Madman
You probably think Biden won as well.

So why are you such a big fan of Biden's terrible half-assed war plan in Ukraine? Let's throw away billions in money and military equipment and ACCOMPLISH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

We didn't miss an election during WWII either.
