Sometimes, when traveling through the internet, you read something that makes so much sense you think, “Yes, that’s it! That explains so much.” That’s the case for DC Draino’s theory about how the violence on January 6 originated. According to him, we’ve all been missing something right before our eyes.
Beginning in the 1960s, leftist protests involved violence. Thus, leftists violently and theatrically protested the Vietnam War:
[Numerous video links at source]
Even during the Obama administration, violence was always present, as was the case when BLM was ascendent during the George Zimmerman, Michael Brown, and Freddie Gray protests:
With Trump’s election, Antifa took the violent protests to a whole new level. Who can forget them setting Washington, DC, on fire when Trump was inaugurated?
By 2020, BLM and Antifa had joined forces in an ecstasy of murderous violence across America:
And, of course, whenever conservatives assembled, Antifa was on the ground, ready to attack:
Meanwhile, conservatives have been renowned for their peaceful protests. You might find a random crazy person being naughty, but otherwise, Tea Party protests were cheerful and ended with the attendees carefully cleaning up any litter they might have left behind. There were no fires, no mass assaults, and no murders. (Hence, no videos to show you.)
And yet, suddenly, on January 6, conservatives turned into wild-eyed rioters, exactly like Antifa. Moreover, also on January 6, the hyper-confrontational Antifa was nowhere to be found.
Or was that whole thing an illusion? Were conservatives, as usual, peaceful, just like the grannies who wandered wide-eyed through Congress after the police opened the doors and let them in? And were the violent Antifa types hiding in plain sight?
DC Draino thinks that we may have watched an illusion on January 6, with the real narrative being...

This is exactly what I think. I knew on January 5, 2021 that the DC police escorted three busses of Antifa into DC and that there was social media chatter that they needed to remember to wear Trump gear. Why would they need to wear Trump gear unless they were supposed to make whatever they did look like it was done by Trump supporters.
“DC Draino thinks that we may have watched an illusion on January 6”
Exactly right. The leftist marxist progs can call up antifa and BLM for mayhem or tell them to lie low and stand down all on command.
No fires, no graffiti, not looting, no damage other than one door and two windows. ...
“Beginning in the 1960s, leftist protests involved violence.” Weren’t there violent leftists in the US decades before that?
Ask Ray Epps.
I’ve been asking this since the day it happened
It’s not like they all just decided they’d better stay in the basement that day and eat Hot Pockets
.
I was in in DC and that day and I remember people talking about 3 busses of MAGA dressed Antifa being driven to town.
Wonder how media would have reported it if MAGA dressed as BLM started shooting on this fake MAGA.
So the word went out: stand down. Protect the Results announced that it would “not be activating the entire national mobilization network today, but remains ready to activate if necessary.” On Twitter, outraged progressives wondered what was going on. Why wasn’t anyone trying to stop Trump’s coup? Where were all the protests?
Podhorzer credits the activists for their restraint. “They had spent so much time getting ready to hit the streets on Wednesday. But they did it,” he says. “Wednesday through Friday, there was not a single Antifa vs. Proud Boys incident like everyone was expecting. And when that didn’t materialize, I don’t think the Trump campaign had a backup plan.”

They wanted Antifa to stay away, and let the FBI informers and instigators do their thing.
Antifa jerks were probably the people breaking windows and attacking police. Betcha not a single Antifa scum is in the J6 Gulag.
There were there during the French Revolution, roughly 1789–1799.
And I think the reason the government is being so tough on the J6 prisoners is because these are the people with the guts to resist government overreach.
During the 60’s, “outside agitators” were often used as the explanation for race riots. The concept was that “our” local black folks wouldn’t have the initiative to riot on their own; they had to have been stirred up to it by political activists sent in from The Nawth. There was some truth to it; it was what people wanted to believe; and, it allowed looking away from the real problems.
On J6, Antifans and various operatives (notably Ray Epps and the Tower Commander, who is a leftwing journalist) fired up the most radical of the Trump supporters, worked them into fighting with police, and led them like dimwited sheep into entering the capital building. It did not require massive numbers of agitators — it doesn’t take much to light dry tinder. The danger about blaming the agitators is that it misses the faults and gullability of (some) Trump supporters. Trump’s coalition includes a tranch of ignorant thugs, and these are easy marks used to discredit everyone else.
The Left is ruthless, organized, and uses Bolshevik tactics, both in and outside of government. Trumpers should learn from J6 not to be played for suckers, and exercise greater self-discipline in the future. Trump needs to lead on that by example.
Na, we are supposed to believe it was the first conservative demonstration / protest ever conducted in this country that did not attract leftwing hecklers and bomb throwers.
First ever.
And that also confirms that Antifa is not “grass roots” or privately, loosely organized.
There is no question Antifa was in the vanguard to breach the capitol. There is video of a masked man breaking windows, threatening a MAGA person who told him to stop. It’s sad that good people got entrapped by this operation. The truth is seeping out.
I will take “Things you say to capital police or FBI about why you were in DC on Jan 6th” for $1000.00 Johnny”.
