Wow, rambling gibberish.
“Helping Ukraine is actually helping ourselves.
We are depleting Russia’s military, making it weaker while the Ukrainian people pay with their blood.
The lend-lease program we have put in place for Ukraine only costs about 8% of America’s military budget. It’s peanuts.
A lot of what we pay for Ukraine, actually stays here in America in American businesses.
The Russian alliance is composed of: North Korea, Belarus, China, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Iran.
They are all communist nations + one ultra Islamic one (IRAN). They are non stop conspiring together against American interests. How on earth can any conservative here in America or in Europe support such hellish crowd?
We have an opportunity of a lifetime, to considerably weaken the head of the Hydra - which is the Kremlin.
Let’s not waste this golden opportunity.”
Thank you for your stating this over-looked information.
--- You wrote, "The subject poster had no opinion, and said as much; thus, he or she contributed nothing to the discussion. He or she is certainly free to do that; but it is meaningless."
It was his opinion, and therefore not meaningless to some. Unless the forum rules begin to adjudicate opinions, it was his opinion even if you think it "no opinion." That was his right, and this is your right.
I've already commented with avenues for you to make your complaint to other than me. If you feel it necessary, do so.
“It was his opinion.”
It was his opinion that he had no opinion. How does that contribute to the discussion? It doesn’t. FR is a forum for discussion; I don’t think JR created it for disinterest or ambivalence.
I went back to look, and copy him in this comment since you characterize his words to me. Your statement is incorrect.
Not my flag (not just an opinion but assuredly a statement of fact as to his point-of-view)"It was his opinion that he had no opinion" is wholly incorrect.
Not my nation (ditto)
Not my problem
Working this backwards, as applied to your opinions or statements of fact:
Is the Ukrainian flag your flag?I would imagine your responses to the first two question would likely be no and no. As the the third, your answer would be yes, as you advocate for that for which you advocate. Would any of your answers be opinions? Statements of your stances? Of course. You have a right to them. As does he. Differences of opinion.... Controversy.
Is Ukraine your nation?
Is Ukraine your problem?
There is clearly "...a difference of opinion whether or not the US government should be involved in a controversial foreign war where we were not attacked."
ansel12 so aptly commented to Worldtraveler once upon a time
“Wow, rambling gibberish.”
Nice try, kid.
EEE said “Not my flag, not my nation, not my problem.”
So, what exactly is he saying? He’s saying he doesn’t care, one way or the other.
You can spin this any way you like to try to stop yourself from foundering, but you’re going to sink anyway.
“Kind of sounds what has happened to Russians under Putin.”
And you have to wonder why so many “Americans” are suddenly all in favor of an Eastern European dictatorship?
On the upside, the FBI is finally starting to investigate these people who shill for Russia and maybe they might even prosecute some of them as unregistered foreign agents.
“Putin is not our enemy”
That’s news to me. Putin’s foreign minister Lavrov announced this last week that Russia and the USA are at war.
Sounds like an enemy to me.
--- "You can spin this any way you like to try to stop yourself from foundering, but you're going to sink anyway." Judge and jury is a fine game for some.
You began this exchange with me, feeling the need to speak for another -- 53 posted on 9/25/2023, 7:49:04 AM by ought-six. Obviously this exchange is at its end.

The clarity of your Comment# 68 is awesome & concis !
Nice try, kid.
When your hero said, “Not my problem” he said “I don’t care.” You can try to deny it all you want, but you’ll just dig your hole deeper.

Yeah, because you jumped to a conclusion and rushed to judgment by saying Gleeaikin was opposed to disagreements, and I corrected you (as have others on this thread).
“Obviously this exchange is at its end.”
I accept your surrender. I will not insist on harsh terms.
TYPO CORRECTED: CONCISE
Yawn.
Let me know when Putin starts jailing innocent Americans for exercising their 1st Amendment rights on Capitol grounds or letting in millions of brown-skinned foreign infiltrators.
"The ‘PUTIN-Biden-Clinton-Obama’ cartel did used Ukraine as a FRONT to stage their money-laundering by using Russian agents embedded BY PUTIN in the Ukraine government: Ukrainian deep-state!So, since Putin and Biden are part of a cartel, then "jailing innocent Americans for exercising their 1st Amendment rights on Capitol grounds or letting in millions of brown-skinned foreign infiltrators" is part and parcel of the whole Putin-Biden thing, with a soupçon of Obama and Clinton, for good measure. She said so.President Zelensky is still trying to remove Ukraine CORRUPT “deep state created by Putin!” ( 19 August 2023 )
Ukraine CORRUPT “deep state created by Putin with Biden in the cartel
Corruption of PUTIN used embedded Russian agents in Ukraine government with CORRUPT Obama, Clinton & Biden for illegal money laundering
HOWEVER, Zelenskyy and his administration are fighting on 2-fronts:
1. corrupt invasion by Putin into Ukraine
2. removal of corruption embedded within political systems.
Many are commending his continuing success on both fronts.
BTW, some need to understand the concern is the VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW by aliens illegally entering the U.S. is: not expression of xenophobic bigotry toward “brown-skinned” foreigners.”
