Ukraine has received billions of dollars in aid from the United States to help with its war with Russia. Despite this, Democrats in Congress want to send even more to the war-torn country. And they are willing to do so even if it means a government shutdown in this country.
It’s a fiscally irresponsible move and detrimental to the U.S., and it’s precisely why Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) declared he would not support any more aid to Ukraine....

“Wish he would run for president.”
He did. Then Trump took him out.
“No aid to any foreign nation. No exceptions.”
Absolutely. I think most people believe that. Sadly, in our Constitutional Republic the people we vote to speak for us end up not doing that.
It probably takes about two years before a pol is compromised (blackmail, bribes, threats, gifts, etc.) until the constituents’ best interests are no longer a thing.
Maybe a pure democracy would’ve been better.
Think about this: if they didn’t FREEZE apportionment of congresspeople you’d have 5,000 reps now.
Much harder to bribe, cajole, etc.
They froze the number at 435.
I know. There’s no solution — except honesty and good character. And we’ll never see that again in politics.
I’m not a huge Rand fan, but on this he is absolutely 1,000% correct. He is the only one to come out firmly on using our money for our country and our people. How is he the only person speaking out on this? When so much needs to be done here it is criminal that our tax dollars are being gutted.
Maybe more of a fan than I thought.
Just call "The Biden School of Making it Big in Government."
And do it today.
The only time we should send money to a foreign nation is when it gets hit by some natural disaster like an earthquake.
Wanna piss off the libs?.
I man really piss them off???
Here is your new campaign slogan:
Time to put the taxPAYER first.
It used to be respected that tax payer money was owned by the TAX PAYER. How it was spent required a moral and ethical lens, it was their RESPONSIBILITY to spend it ethically.
This has gone completely of the rails. It’s not even a consideration anymore. Almost $200B to Ukraine? Who is OK with that? Ask the average tax payer on the street. No. I don’t care if politicians have ‘nuanced’ opinions of why Ukraine is important. They answer to us and shouldn’t be so arrogant as to ignore our wishes.
They’re all spending on pet projects, giving the OK to everyone else so they can get what they want. This has to stop. Our national debt is absurd. Any household that has debt equal to 10x their income is bankrupt.
I know, I know...the Republic is lost and I’m delusional to think the Constitution means anything anymore. I’ll only respond...it’s true if that’s what we allow.
Concerning Ukraine, it not just a matter of whether we can afford it. To make matters worse, we are funding the wrong side — the side supported by the communist LGBT’s and false flaggers.
And not one more penny of US taxpayers’ money for trillions spent on illegals for the next thirty years.
America first no exceptions.
Amen!
...and he is too short. Short people do not win presidential elections.
