The wife of Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-S.C., has filed for divorce, alleging he had at least one affair during their marriage.
In the Friday filing at a courthouse in Laurens County, Melody Duncan, who has three adult children with the congressman, accused her husband of having multiple extramarital affairs and leaving their home to live with another woman.

The filing, which came around noon on Friday, listed Duncan's paramour as Liz Williams, who is reportedly a lobbyist in the Washington, D.C. area.

I understand what you’re saying. Most Godly people choose not to serve in public office these days, because they don’t want themselves and their families dragged through the sewer. My newly-elected GOP Christian Conservative Congressman showed ads with happy family scenes (his family). I wonder if in a few years if it will still be so happy. Isn't the essence of Christianity the recognition that we all fail to live up to our own morality? The left has solved this by removing social morals all-together.
I don't think this alone is a disqualification for office but it is certainly a factor in deciding whether or not I'd vote for him. A clear indication of poor decision-making.
He might not have done a damn thing. His wife’s attorney may have said let’s make all of these claims in a shot-gun claim and then we can question him on everything that an elected official does not want to be questioned over — bingo, uncontested divorce to avoid questions. It is possible the wife is the adulterer.
