A 13-foot alligator was killed by Florida officials after it was reportedly seen carrying human remains on Friday.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said officers responded to an area near 134th Avenue North and 121st Street in Ridgecrest, Florida, on Friday after getting reports of a body in the waterway, according to FOX 13.
With help of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the alligator was "humanely killed." Blood could be seen near the alligator.
A witness told Spectrum Bay News 9 that he could see a body in the alligator's mouth.

Children can no longer play safely in local ponds and creeks. Seniors walking their dogs do not realize they are "bait" for the lurking predators when the pet ventures down to the water's edge for a drink of water.
We need to have an "open season" on alligators in both Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
You’re right.
The “Animal Planet” cable network , and other sources of mind control, are to
blame for policy decisions regarding animal populations.
EXPLAIN “HUMANELY KILLED”....
I watch “Swamp People” every week.
They can only hunt gators for 30 days.
One guy & his crew killed & tagged 1000 gators in 30 days.
THAT is alot of WORK.
Then, one episode with him showed him going into a woodlands near the swamps & seeking a LARGE snake that was scaring a woman with young kids.
They found a shedded snake skin UNDER HER HOUSE that was over 15 FEET long.
Then they gathered up others and using DRONES at night, and heat seeking technology, the found a python over 10 feet long & a couple of smaller ones-—AT NIGHT !!!
The gators are getting more numerous. Maybe the season will be made longer. Some of the bull gators are over 12 feet.

And pythons in South Florida who are reducing indigent mammals.
Yea.
Just ask Poke Salad Annie.
I’m waiting. Bet it never happens. Maybe after I’m dead and gone, but I doubt it will happen in my lifetime.
All alligators should be rounded up and put into a man-made nature preserve that’s completely fenced off. You cannot pay me to live in FL. I’d rather freeze to death than to get eaten alive by one of these beasts.
Mammals living in poverty?
No sales tax,
No income tax,
You can hunt on Sunday,
Cheap liquor,
Cheap cigarettes...
OK. gotta listen to Gov. Sununu, but otherwise it's a great state.
No 14 ft. aggalators going to eat you up.

Me either.
This was in the article:
*** “I would’ve never dreamt that an alligator would be in this area,” Williams said. “Of course, I know there’s a lake across the street, and I know about the lake in Taylor Park, but not in this neighborhood. No, I would have never thought that.”***
People have no idea their children and pets are in danger.
“And pythons in South Florida who are reducing indigent mammals.”
The pythons in southern Florida are eating the alligator’s usual food source. Rabbits, squirrels, Opossums, etc were the alligator’s food source. I’ve read recently that pythons are also eating some of the small alligators. The alligators are moving north and adapting to cooler climates. Gators are being found further and further north in creeks and ponds. Not all of those found in northern states are from pet store purchases from years ago being released into the “wild”.
Will the pythons eventually do the same and acclimatize themselves to cooler climates? Can we train them to hunt politicians “north of Richmond”?
We could make Kamala the “Gator Czar.” I’m sure she can fix the problem (not).
Why is the alligators tail still moving? Wasn’t it humanely euthanized?
I propose Florida’s alligators be “transported” to the Rio Grande.
Humans are stupid.
There is a gator in a rain pond in my mothers subdivision.. one of the idiot neighbors has taken to feeding it…
Only a matter of time before it goes after someone dog or kid..
Can we attach frickin’ laser beams to their heads?
