I was going to do the SAR thing (Fort Watauga). I decided not to because of some of the idiotic things they do.

My uncle, mom aunt, grandma were all in it.
I told my uncle we should have gun fun and cookouts. The chapter in Dallas is full of cucks.

I’m out.

Sadly, the DAR and SAR have lost sight.

The PA chapter of SAR to which I belong is pretty good.

My paternal grandmother was active in DAR and the Mayflower Society. Her diligence in documenting the family history gave me a good start. The family tree goes back many generations now with almost 20,000 people.

The Ancestry DNA project has my genetics as 31% Scot, 29% Welsh, 14% Irish. There is a little English, Norwegian and Finnish in the remainder. My wife's Welsh ancestry traces to the same general west Wales area (coastal from Aberystwyth to Pembroke). I haven't pinned down the Scot origins in Scotland, but they were part of the Scots that emigrated to North Carolina. The Outlander series includes that community. Fiction wrapped in some actual history.
