Some of those “smart Jews” came to the US and became gun control advocates, as they misinterpreted their experiences with Nazism.

The smart Jews didn’t “protest”. The Smart ones got out of Germany while they still could. And it was a tough decision because they left a lot behind. Yes, but they did have other places to go to.
That window is closing here in the US.
If things don't turn around soon, there will be no place left to get out to.
