The US Department of Defense says that Africa “has a plethora of strategic materials, such as cobalt, chromium, tantalum and more. African resources are critical to 21st century progress” (read: US corporate dominance).

In this day and age, we can’t have countries annex other countries causing hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths. There is no rationale and no excuse for the many deaths caused by Kremlin’s decision to not only attack and invade... but also to ANNEX other people’s lands and homes.
What counts is this:
The world and Russia itself have recognized Ukraine as an independent nation with full, irrevocable, and absolute sovereignty. Russia signed the recognition on August 28, 1991. Period. It’s THAT simple.

When Adm Mike Mullen, Chairman of the JCS, was asked what was the greatest threat to our national security he famously warned, “the most significant threat to our national security is our debt.”
Paraphrasing the great Vince Lombardi, the national debt is not everything, it is the only thing. Empires and nations fall when the go broke.
