That was a hilarious movie. A decent comedy will normally elicit an involuntary snort or chuckle from me, but Yesterday is the last movie I saw that actually had me quite literally laughing out loud.

When it came out, I wanted to see it but couldn’t find anyone who wanted to see it with me, so I went by myself and LOL in many parts. (The only other movie I went alone to see was Master and Commander).

It had a unique premise and was funny in many parts, imagining a world where the Beatles never existed except for this one random failed musician who because of some freak worldwide power outage that somehow changes the timeline, becomes famous for performing Beatles songs, pretending that he wrote them.

The scene where he is looking up bands on the internet was particularly funny, that and when he asks for a Coke on the airplane forgetting that in this reality there is no Coca-Cola, only Pepsi and the flight attendant thinks he's asking for cocaine.

But overall, it was sweet and nostalgic.
