Not coffee-related, but there is an Asian supermarket near me where I go on occasion for authentic instant noodles from various countries (try the kimchee udon noodle soup).
In the front is a pharmaceutical section. It appears to have balms but I can’t read what is in them. I couldn’t find one that was “Maestro-approved.”
I also noticed that there are no oranges in the Japanese food section.
The little markets in Chicago run by Southeast Asians are fabulous, with oodles of interesting fresh produce. But no dairy products. And yes, a heaping spoonful of kimchee at the bottom of a bowl of noodles — even a 25¢ packet of ramen — makes all the difference.
You should make up some “Maestro approved!” stickers and slap them on some of the balms.
