Fairfield County is suburban NYC....lots and lots of $$$.
If I had an Aston-Martin and a Ferrari, I could pretty much assure you my town would smell like burning tires, too :)
A friend had a Cayenne and he had the same issue. I think he finally sold it.
I recently helped deliver a Porsche 718 (by driving it, not hauling) almost 1100 miles to the new owner. It does what it is designed to do, and very well. But I couldn’t enjoy it much. Too high tech. If I can’t fix it, I really don’t want it.
That exact dynamic is happening right now in the neighborhood in Los Angeles that we left three years ago for Texas.
They were OK through the covid, had the BLM “In this house we believe” signs, actually protested the local police station “ACAB”, “F12” etc.
Now there’s a rash of burglaries, thefts, and last week a “hot prowl” burglary AKA a home invasion.
Not happy to hear any of that, but I am not surprised in the slightest.
I believe it, but personally I can’t figure why Cayennes even exist or why someone would want one. Like a Lamborghini SUV. Why?
This is steal and ship.
On its way to Latin America where there are lots of rich people willing to pay big (drug?) dollars.
And corrupt police.
Carry, always. Regardless of legality. Screw the stupid anti constitutional limits on firearms. Concealed means concealed.
