Not all UAW is on strike.
My brother-in-law is still working everyday in Lansing, pulling down $125K, working over time and padding his retirement.
Best wishes for your BIL’s success. My fear is that the strikers are going to screw the Big Three up good. I’m remembering clear back to the 60’s when the railroad geniuses damm near put the rails out of bizness. They wanted to keep a conductor in the caboose long after trains no longer even needed a caboose. And then AMTRAC came along and has needed big gummint subsidies ever since. Electrifying the car bizness is going to require permanent gummint freemoney. NOBODY is going to pony up their own money to build a bazillion charging stations as well as new generation to supply them. But the UAW will keep financing dimokrats.
